For the active, there are spectacular walking trails dotted all along this area of the north coast, including the stunning nearby tram trail which winds from the Giant’s Causeway to Portballintrae through the sand dunes of Blackrock Beach. For a complete list of walking guides visit

An abundance of beautiful beaches are to be found on the North Coast and so surfing and body boarding are very popular for both individuals and groups of all skill levels. There are numerous surf schools available for beginners.

There are 7 golf courses all within 15 miles of the cottages, from the world renowned Royal Portrush to pitch and putt, welcoming golfers of all ages and standards.



Both the River Bush and the River Bann are a short drive away and make a fun day out for those interested in fishing; salmon fishing is particularly popular.


Play Areas

There are numerous children’s play areas located locally as well as a small play area on-site ( please note our on site play park is currently under construction). There are small outdoor play parks in Dunseverick, Bushmills and Portballintrae. Portrush has a large outdoor playground as well as Waterworld, a pirate themed indoor water park. Coleraine has two indoor adventure playgrounds, Alley Cats and Cheeky Chimps, for children aged 1 -12. Alley Cats is in the Jet Centre which is also home to the cinema and bowling alley.


Swimming pools

There are indoor swimming pools in Coleraine, Ballymoney and Portrush.



The Nook at Giants Causeway is only 10 minutes walk.
